    Job Description:

    • Deliver quality care consistent within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state nurse practice act for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses
    • Responsible for tasks, activities, and functions as delegated
    • Provide monitoring of patients as directed by medical staff

    Shift Schedule:

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program
    • Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment
    • Possesses an active CPR certification
    • Knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice
    • Completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude

    Essential Functions:

    • Utilize a systematic approach to meet the health needs of each patient
    • Implement nursing care within the LPN's scope of practice
    • Assist in developing and implementing teaching plans based on patient needs
    • Care for wounds with appropriate cleaning and dressing/bandaging
    • Administer medications to offenders
    • Provide care for multiple patients as directed by medical staff
    • Monitor vital signs and report changes to appropriate medical staff
    • Document actions in the MAR and medical records
    • Perform other nursing duties as assigned by the facility

    Compensation Details:

    • Hourly Wage: $25-34
