The Summer Nurse Intern position is for nursing students generally between their junior and senior years of an accredited BSN or MSN nursing program. **Responsibilities**

**Job Description**

The Post-Doctoral Fellow will assess and treat patients with physical disability due to traumatic injuries or illnesses to assist patients in dealing with emotional reactions to their disability. The post-doctoral fellow will have the option to train in a variety of settings including a major rotation in acute inpatient rehabilitation, with minor rotations in our Day Rehabilitation program, Pain Management Center, Functional Movement Disorder Clinic, and Outpatient Neuropsychology. Within these settings, the post-doctoral fellow obtains patient case history and conducts initial psychological assessments. As clinically indicated, the post-doctoral fellow provides psychotherapy services for individuals, families, and within groups. The post-doctoral fellow additionally provides capacity evaluations, behavioral management plans, co-treatments, and suicide assessments, as needed. The post-doctoral fellow acts as an integral part of the treatment team for their designated rotation.

**Clinical Responsibilities**

- Interview patients, families, and other appropriate personnel to obtain information regarding the patient's personal, medical, psychiatric, substance use, and social history.
- Conduct psychological and/or neuropsychological evaluations.
- Provide consultation and therapeutic intervention for individuals, families, and groups.
