ECU Health Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed facility located in Kenansville, North Carolina. The 15-bed emergency department serves approximately 25,000 patients per year. In addition to providing general medical and surgical services, ECU Health Duplin Hospital offers chemotherapy and other cancer infusion interventions and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center.

**Job Description**

- Responsible for providing care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, and other standards established by profession/professional groups, regulating bodies/agents.
- Deliver nursing care in accordance with ECU Health and entity-specific nursing policies, procedures, and professional standards of care/practice.
- Provide and coordinate nursing care, including the collection and analysis of assessment data, identification of expected outcomes, and development of a plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Identify interventions to attain expected outcomes, implement the interventions identified in the plan of care, evaluate the progress of the patient/family toward attainment of outcomes, and document the process.
- Promote and evaluate the effective functioning of the health care team.
- Collaborate with health care team members to meet the identified needs of the patient/family throughout the episode of care.
- Delegate tasks and activities as appropriate and governed by NC Nurse Practice Act.

**Requirements**

- Diploma in Nursing, Associates in Nursing, or higher is required.
- Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state is required.
- AHA Basic Life Support certification is required.

**Schedule**

This position is full-time - Monday to Thursday 6:45 am - 4:30 pm with call shifts (1 week per month and 1 weekend per month).
