**Job Description**

- A Cardiac Sonographer/Echocardiographer is a credentialed medical professional with academic and clinical experience to use imaging technology to help physicians diagnose heart problems in patients.
- They operate ultrasound equipment that provides moving 2-D or 3-D images of the heart and its chambers.
- The scope of practice includes those procedures, acts, and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education, clinical experience, and completed ARDMS-RDCS and/or RVT or CCI-RCS registration, which is the standard of practice in Ultrasound.
